The Work B.I.G. Paid Skills Training Program prepares interested residents to work in Blight Removal and General Services, focusing on abandoned and underutilized structures throughout Gary. Work B.I.G. will provide customized training to prepare Gary residents for a new career path, right here in the heart of Gary. The goal is to help residents better themselves and their communities, by giving them the tools and knowledge needed to have productive and functional jobs. Together we can uncover Gary’s full potential.

Length of Training: 8 Weeks Minimum
Program Launch: April 28, 2025
Wage: $15 Hourly / Full-Time
Earn & Learn Worksites: 3 Days / Week
Training: 2 Days / Week
Credentials: HAZMAT, OSHA, Work Ethic
